Hello there! We’re glad you could join us. We’re looking for a Senior Director Business Development at Improve Digital. 

The Senior Director Business Development will be working closely together with the central leadership and support teams in order to provide continuous feedback which informs and drives developments in sales, product and marketing. The ideal candidate has a strong opinion on how publishers can strategically use programmatic advertising technologies to overcome the challenges they face and to deliver on the revenues objectives they have set. The ideal candidate is able to combine this strategic thinking with smart and tactical execution, acting as an entrepreneur and making sure ideas become a reality and true revenue streams for Improve Digital and its customers.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Build up a significant market share and over deliver on revenue objectives
  • Engage with leaders from Publishers, Agencies, DMPs, Tradepress, Researchers and other relevant stakeholders in your market 
  • Participate in local and international events and tradeshows where this commercially makes sense
  • Responsible for correct monthly invoicing process
  • Initiate and create best practices/ case studies for external usage by sending relevant input to marketing
  • Introduce new advertising formats, units, opportunities
  • Managing pricing, inventory, and demand partner prioritization, maximizing revenue for each publisher
  • Act as a Liaison between the Demand Manager and the Solution Engineer to secure the best possible commercial set-up for new customers

What we’re looking for in a candidate:

  • Strong background in Sales management, preferably vendor/SaaS sales
  • University degree. MBA considered a major plus
  • 5+ years of experience in the  Media, Advertising & Technology sector
  • Strong knowledge of advertising technology, in particular adserving programmatic advertising technology
  • Understanding of publisher advertising sales organisations and models
  • Fluent in English. Other languages preferred
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and a good team player
